Default 2019 GT3RS Break in vs 2018 Gt2RS Break in

Does anyone know why, according to the owner's manual, the GT2RS requires twice as long of a break in as compared to the GT3RS? The manual says 1000 miles for the GT3RS and 2000 miles for the GT2RS.

Probably that way because the GT2 so darn powerful that they want one to get used to it

The Germans at PAG know the best. Two completely different engines, and run in as they call it, to ensure parts wear in correctly. I'm by the book when it relates to run in. Completely different run in on this RS v .1 RS. I recommend black stone labs, at least first oil dump. Lots of great info on YOUR ENGINE.

From the thrust the car puts out that really makes sense, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the differences in the engines like turbo vs non turbo, or 7200 rpm vs 9000 rpm, or the 9.0:1 vs 13.3:1 compression ratios.

Chris the idea is basically there is another layer of parts for the computer to coach in order to optimize

I see. So it's a learning period for the driver and the car.
