My first generation Boxster Spyder sat in Houston Port for 3 months. If you recall, the convertible latch ( to prevent the top from flying off at speeds over 130 mph ) had to be completely redesigned. Maybe there is a design flaw in the RS that requires a completely new part?

The system shows my car at the port waiting on a boat, and it is scheduled to arrive at the dealer the end of Jan still. Non-WP.

My car arrived to Davisville yesterday. I’ve got a note into my SA requesting a schedule update.

Just received a call from someone at PCNA who would know the situation.

It is a quality control issue that is significant enough to warrant a port hold. They are working as hard as they can and will have further communications as soon as they know more.

This info will be communicated to your dealer today or tomorrow.

Checked with my dealer, my 2RS is on the HB and still on the same schedule they published previously. Not sure if that means Porsche is slow getting their dates updated or if it's a problem specific to certain GT cars and mine isn't affected.

EDIT - Just got confirmation that my new delivery date is 3/29/2019 (car is on the HB heading into JAXPORT now).

Does this also include GT3 and GT2RS?

What sucks is this delay doesn't get me ED! Maybe I should buy a 458 or 570 for a few months. Won't lose any more money on those than I will on my ADM on my 3RS!

That will be communicated through the dealer... I will say that there was no mention of the 2RS on our call. The GT3 and the GT3 RS appear to be included.

is this real? I called PCNA this afternoon and they told me a one week delay. My car was slated to be completed on the 14th, now Dec 21st. Dealer delivery is also delayed by one week.

very frustrating , just talked to my dealer, they received 2 3RS yesterday , and know nothing about delay
though my gut feeling says we will have the delay
for me it is not that bad, because of winter in our area , but like to have the car by April first for the driving season
also screwed my Trip to Atlanta

My GT3 is at the dealer, we punched it in case there is a stop sale.
