GT3 flip value?

I think we need some more info....what are you trying to get and at what price? MSRP?....when is the car due?....is the new car contingent on the trade at $20K under.....lot of missing info in the story.....

I think your thought process is to make money "flip." Why don't you just be the "Agent/Broker" and solicit buyers than pay/invest the money?

Hi,
Has anyone flipped a newly bought GT3 back to a dealer and what did they give for it?
Assume no miles added and you flip it back same day or right away.
Of course many will want to know why someone would do this... let's just say it's the price of admission.
Thanks

It's like a 20k ADM fee but with the added risk that I have to own the cancelled order for a while.
They said they can sell it to me and buy it back the same day.
Apparently Porsche doesn't like dealers marking up the cars, or advertising marked up cars (new). So this is how they get around it... maybe..

I'm being offered a new GT3 build at sticker if I take an incoming GT3 (a cancelled order) and trade it back to them at 20k below MSRP.

why would you even consider this deal to buy a gt3 just to get another???
im super confused why this is even an option.

Are you saying that a 20K ADM is just a maybe for a GT2RS? I think you might be in the minority of people who want a 2RS, yet would not pay a 20K ADM for one.
To the OP - a net 20K ADM (assuming you aren't being taxed twice), regardless of the mechanics of the transaction(s), is not wildly absurd if you are allowed to spec the GT3. I don't see the "added risk" as long as there are signed documents in place. Like others have said, there is missing information to this story that would help give a more guided response.
The 100 GT3s for sale are pre-specced. To some people, speccing a car warrants a premium to them.

This is right. I get to spec my own GT3 at MSRP if I buy a cancelled order at MSRP and trade it back at $20k below sticker.
There really is not much more to it than that.
Oh, and this is my first Porsche, so I guess it's an initiation fee too :-)

This is possibly the worst deal I've heard of yet on a GT car.
Buy a GT car and sell it back to us so you can build your GT3 build, oh, and by the way we're going to take $20k off the purchase/trade numbers.

Thanks for sharing those details, OP. As a general rule i don’t buy cars i don’t want to possibly get cars i do want. It is always a straight up deal. This deal sounds bad on the surface. Also, i think the high end car market is soft right now. No guarantee they give you $20k off sticker in a few months.
Good luck either way.

Ofciurse paying a premium to soec your own your own car is worth it to some. But those people aren’t on an Internet forum asking about trade values. They write the check and move on.

There are also plenty of GT 3 cars at MSRP with good builds and low miles under 1,000.........that you may want to buy and save some money........
I'd tell dealer that I will buy a new GT3 spec at MSRP and show them your build from configurator........
Once the 992 regular GT3 and Touring with the NA and stick available transmission comes out, the 18 GT3 regular and touring will both experience depreciation albeit slower than other 911s....why lose 20K and then more with depreciation when you can negotiate harder and just tell them you want to buy one at MSRP....
