If i didn't know better the original post on this thread could have been written by me.I have a 991.2GT3 PDK and 981 Spyder which complement each other beautifully yet that Ferrari itch is getting bigger and bigger..After going through the usual 488 want(too much money) and 430 Scud i've settled on the 458..I've spent countless hours scanning the adds looking for my perfect 458 but want to pick a bargain as well..A bit like wanting the cake and eat it..!
My favourite spec today is a Bianca Avus with Goldrake seats, lightweight rims and all the inside carbon bits..

Three Wheelin'
If I had to pick one, it would be a red 458 with tan interior. While the Scud is a great car, it doesn't do it for me. The build quality and engine of the 458 is much better.

I am thinking something spec’d like this one with black wheels. Right sound. Right wheels. Lowered.

You'll be fine. Some days will feel like 458 days, some days will feel like GT3 days, trust me. They're very different cars...and it's a happy problem to decide which to drive . You will, however, glance back at the 458 even more than you glance back at the GT3 . You may even have the thought that it seems reasonable to find some way to park the 458 in the house so you can sit in it while you watch TV

Make the GT3 your track car and 458 pleasure driver Then you'll have a reason to come to HPR more

But...
It can and should be a totally different performing car!
you know for a different use altogether :-)
No way the Fiat will be going on track, so it could be way worse at track work and for example be very good at blvd cruising, make a spectacle, good for picking up hookers (oops 17 days is short) and be super showy.
Oh wait.. 458 with straight pipes it is then

I picked up a 458 recently after selling my 488 several months back. I previously owned a speciale and really enjoyed it. My 458 is a 2014 and has racing seats. I can't say enough good things about it.....98% the car that the speciale was at a much lower price point. My advice would be to pick up a good 458 that you've had a chance to drive. I've found that there is simply more "inter-car" variability with ferraris than with porsches. This is particularly true of the transmission and shifting feel. The scud sounds better to my ears than the 458, but feels 20 years behind it in technology when you drive it. I think it would be frustrating for me to drive that car after getting out of a PDK porsche. I think 458's are a fantastic value right now.
Good liuck!
