I'm in agreement... in a 'solo/autox' environment... tighter short tracks... the 3RS could be as fast (possibly faster)...

But if I have 'one lap' to give the fastest time possible... equally tired cars... the 2RS is going to deliver the fastest lap 95% of the time, IMO.

I still love my incoming non-WP 3RS! But wouldn't kick a 2RS out of the garage!

i agree with this but the 3RS is more impressive considering how close it is in performance and provides comparatively more for far less and a more approachable track car. A bargain by comparison with the same evel of excitement if not more.

That certainly is not worth a $200k delta in price. At least in my book and when you have to give up a Motorsport NA engine in the process for TT to get there.

If you ask me the market has it backwards. Oh well good for me at least.
Carrying that a step further, it is likely a GT3 running on those fabulous Michelin R Compound Tires would be as fast on many Tracks
as a new GT3RS on Cup 2's. $50,000 difference in cost pays for a whole lot of Tires!

It seems to me that the Manual GT3 always seems to fare pretty well in these comparisons. Never slow enough to make me second-guess choosing it over PDK or one of the RS models

All very impressive times, the GT3RS is flying with almost 200hp less than a 2RS and so close on times, BUT what I am extremely impressed by is that the PDK GT3 went only 1.3 seconds slower(on this track) than the 2RS on the same tires with much less aero than both RS variants, 1:13.4 GT3(manual 1:13.9), 1:12.1 2RS. These cars are ripping and I, unfortunately, will never be able to drive this fast and experience this level of grip on these tires.

Not sure. Maybe though.

i think bottom line is that a better driver in one as opposed to the others will turn a faster lap. They are all that fast.

My Tran Am TA2 Boss 302 with me behind the wheel has been passed by lesser cars. The driver is 80% of it.

I agree. A good driver in any of the cars will beat a fair or poor driver in any of the cars. And as far as lap times go, I'll happily sacrifice a second per lap for the added fun of driving the GT3 with a standard manual.

We all like what we like. For me the thrill of the RS with its over the top looks and the wicked shift speed of the PDK provides the fun for me.

If I was forced to pick one PDK it would be the .2 GT3 RS.

Not interested in a Turbo-for now

But- if I cared about owning the "King of the Mountain"-we all know the GT2 sits on top. To be frank, I really can not tell the difference on the street between the .2 GT3 RS and the new GT2 unless I had a close-up view.

Plus,it looks like first time owners of the new GT2 are flipping their cars so what does that say.

2RS for me over 3RS any day of the week. I have 2 other friends who also have both they prefer 2RS...everyone is different. Wait until you drive a 2RS then you will know how slow the 3RS feels...I suggest you don't because then you would want to sell it for a 2RS lol my 2 cents

All three are stupid fast, jail time on the street. I'm not good enough to handle the 2rs on a track. I have 997rs and antiques for manual. So 3rs for me. Wouldn't mind picking up a 2rs at some point just to check the box but I'm already getting to my limit for speed on street and track with the 3rs power plant.

There are straights at tracks that a 2rs would be fun to punch, but I don't want it around the corners and that's what makes the track fun anyway.

I think any mag/vlog could pick any of the three on any day and that's pretty impressive accomplishment for Porsche.

GT2 RS looks more over the top to my eyes. PDK as fast?
