Default PORSCHE Reliable Launch Control

We have all seen how reliable the Porsche Turbo S Launch control consistently without any degradation in performance for over fifty launches. Same consistent and reliable performance which is awesome.

Drive safe,

I love that video, especially how the journalist is laughing with every launch. Simply amazing how the car takes that abuse!

I've never tried launch control in my own car (.2 Manual), but I did try LC in the .2 GT3 with PDK at Leipzig and my neck snapped back and the back of my head hit the headrest so hard I nearly fainted

I thought the GT3 Launch Control was even more violent than the .2 Turbo loaner I had in Germany (did LC start at Nurburgring just outside starting gate a few times which I later learned is not permitted )

LC is the only way I can get rid of the oil overfill warning that you get from puttering around South Florida traffic....

LC is cool in the GT3!
The TT and TTS takes the win every time due to AWD traction and massive turbo torque. It's violent by comparison to the GT3.

I thought the GT3 (with PDK) hit harder initially - right at launch. Then the TT pulled harder once down the track a little (like being pulled by a huge stretched bungee cord).

My findings, the GT3 hits hard (MT in my case) but immediately feels like it bogs and stumbles, likely from TC fighting to eliminate rear wheel spin.
With the TTs there's nowhere near the same bog as torque gets shunted to whichever wheel has grip. I've yet to find my GT3 to LC as violently as either my TT or TTS did.

Still prefer the GT3..... bigly!!

I've never tried it with a Manual GT3 (sounds like you need hot tires and sticky tarmac). Try it with PDK sometime - it's a big launch without bogging! I did it in Leipzig after many laps of their track, so tires were nice and hot...

Yep, the manual also has launch control. Haven't tried in mine, but it supposedly controls wheel spin, clutch slippage and revs.

Oh wow. I just tried to search on YouTube but couldnt find anything.

I would love to see this in action, or know how it works.
Im guessing the car would have to be on a flat surface (so as not to roll) and then foot on clutch, foot hard on go pedal, and then dump clutch? (i.e- not using the brake at all as we only have 2 feet! LOL)
Hence the need for flat surface. Kind of like the E92 M3 Launch control needed a flat surface too.
