Has anyone done a side delete (valved) with center bypass? Is that insane to run a true straight pipe?

Im planning to do just that. I have a sharkwerks center and was wondering about adding a side bypass. I emailed these guys on thanksgiving and got two emails back within a half hour and had all my questions answered and valved bypass ordered by the end of the day. Arrived perfectly packaged and ready to go. I've gotta say I have dealt with many aftermarket vendors and this is the best experience I've had so far.

Haven't had a chance to install them yet. Will post some post install info and let you know how it sounds!

I wouldn't quite say insane, it all depends on your tolerance to cabin presence and some people simply want maximum sound. You'd be surprised just how many people there are that do it and love it. Some people do it, love it for a time, then change up the setup to tone it down a smidge but with no regrets for giving it a try. As long as you go into it knowing it will be one of the most aggressive setups you can run, and feel there's potential for you to be one of those people that enjoy it, then it's worth the adventure.

The real fun part of this...if you buy both our center and side muffler bypass and for one reason or another you find yourself wanting to take the edge off, you have two things going for you.
1. You bought three exhaust configurations for under $2300 (under $1900 with non-valved smb)
2. Installing/swapping exhaust systems on these cars is relatively easy.
Take one of the components off and try just center bypass, and/or try just the side muffler bypass. Whichever one you like the best keep, the other one put up for sale used. Our pricepoint and quality would serve as little loss to you on the used market, and you've just learned a lot more about exhaust systems then most of the community members on here. If you can't tell, I love experimentation and learning haha. Nothing ventured nothing gained

we have 4 ways
-1 disconnecting the valves (weight and heat remain)
-2 a single pipe from cat to Oem center muffler
-3 double not valved pipes from cat to Oem center muffler
-4 double valved pipes from cat to Oem center muffler
is there any reason for a setup to drone?

While I can't say whether or not someone is sensitive enough to experience the drone in one in a particular setup, I will arrange those setups in order from Most to Least cabin presence for you.

1. a single pipe from cat to Oem center muffler

John so outside of the OEM exhaust you're saying of the list from "fez post" the valved side pipes into stock rear muffler is the least amount of drone?

I've had exhausts that drone before. I could modulate throttle and get around it. Some exhausts this drone wasn't a real issue, some it was tiresome sometimes. I love to hear the exhaust on these cars...all the time. The poem exhaust on my GT3 has to go!!!...gotta figure something out and change it.

Of the options he provided yes. However, I would say a center muffler bypass with factory side mufflers in the valves closed position would have less cabin presence than the options he provided.

Mike I couldn't agree more with you, and I too sacrifice some cabin noise on my cars to maximize that overall experience. I have some ideas to swing by you, less touch base after Christmas or whenever you might have some time
