Curious about this as well. I have some road trips planned and while I don't mind how loud the car is when the valves are open and I'm on the gas, on freeways I'm trying to avoid excess drone and not being able to hear myself think. Been there, done that with my old GT3. No thanks.

As a matter of fact yes you can combine our side and center muffler bypass pipes, which brings us to an upcoming release of our three in one Race System. We are also about to release our exhaust tips for the factory center mufflers.

As a joint effort with Driver's Choice (a premier Porsche specialty shop in Florida), over the past several weeks we've both been doing sound and fitment testing on our side and center bypass combination. As most center and side muffler bypass pipes eliminate the factory mounting and rely on either the factory side or center muffler mounting bracket, combining them both leads little support save for the flange to the header. Therefore, part of this development has been custom made side muffler support brackets to provide the support we would like to see with our Race System. Our Race System will continue to be a modular system, which means in purchasing it you will receive a system that can be arranged in three different exhaust combinations (straight pipes, side muffler bypass pipes, and center muffler bypass) to experiment with at your convenience. Estimated pricing will be in the $1995-$2495 range with the support brackets, depending on your combination of valved or non valved side muffler bypass pipes. Weight savings will be in the 45-48lb range, also depending on whether or not you choose valves. Here is a little teaser video, with more to come.

Thanks Mike for the great service, install went extremely well! Sounds is GREAT! Just love it... a little 'meatier' than factory... and 40lbs removed from the rear of the car! Pics of the process below, for any considering this mod... it's extremely straight forward! Had a couple other 3RS owners stop by and help out, so thanks men! Thanks again SOUL performance!

Best Regards,
Dave

After I put in my valved side can bypass, I developed a hole in the factory center muffler in about 5 track days. I've read about a bunch of other guys developing these holes as well . Of note - the factory side by-pass only use the bottom inlet to the same center muffler - there is no valve, nor second pipe. The top one is capped off.

I went and bought a Dundon quieter center muffler to make track day noise regs.

What do you mean with "factory" side bypass? From Porsche?

The bottom only non-valves side bypass pipes tend to do that to the RS Titanium Center Muffler. The valves and non valved side by pass that has the 2 pipes into the center muffler are usually ok with the Ra's Titanium Center Muffler and the stainless GT3 center seems to be even more durable with the 2 pipe side deletes like the Soul Side Muffler Delete.

Ugh... good call out! I owe you the sound vids! It sounds great! A little deeper at idle... zero drone... and slightly louder up top. Not as loud as replacing the center muffler, I did this more for the weight and height off of the tires. And another benefit MDRUMS called out (which I wasn't aware of frankly) is it should be considerably lower air intake temps!

I'll get some vids up by the weekend at the latest.

Best Regards,
Dave

That is a solid observation Mike! I can't say I've ever measured that, but it would be an interesting experiment to say the least. At worst it stays the same, but logically it could very well be improved based on the benefits the bypass pipes have made on rear tire temps.

You know Richard that's a sad story. I've been meaning to do a smb video for ages, as a matter of fact I may have actually been the one to record that video you posted, in a past life (unfortunately the owner didn't really give it the beans as expected in that video haha). Every time I've tried to get some video of a smb in action, even at some events at Sebring, I've ran into some issues (usually recording equipment related) that put a damper on it. Most recently I had a GT3 in just a few weeks ago for marketing footage. We did the cmb, the smb and cmb combo, and right as we were about to do just the smb we had the local PD show up due to a noise complaint haha.

However, on to the good news! I've made the smb videos a priority of mine. The owner of that GT3 and I will be hitting the track together this season, so plenty of opportunity of fun footage there. Also, in the last couple months we've sold an amazing amount of our smb, and in conversation everyone has been very receptive to posting up some videos of them in action. Videos of the smb in action should be coming in soon for everyone to take advantage of
