Who actually tours in their touring?
I am so freaking fired up. My touring car has been stuck circling round and round at sea for a week outside of Halifax harbor unable to offload due to 60kt winds and high seas. She finally slipped in dumped the Canadian cars and is on her way. looks like Houston next weekend. Anyway I am going to drive the wheels off my car. I mean really drive it all over the place. First trip first week in Jan likely Houston to Nashville to visit pop and back of course. That will get it broken in. How many miles do you have on your touring car?

Mine got to Houston on Saturday and then to me in San Antone on Wednesday. Went straight to detail for PPF and maybe some stripes. I'd be up for a Texas Touring Tour in the next few weeks. Helps kill time as I wait for my home and garages to start construction...need to get some miles on this baby!

Will hit 8,000 on my Touring this weekend and it will be a year old next month. I took it on a 3,500 mile trip last July up to the Northwest and beyond and had a blast. It was a trip I will always have great memories of, but won't take a trip quit like it again. It was just too many waisted miles on interstates where I was cruising at 80 to 90 MPH, and the car is just too loud to enjoy this kind of driving (ear plugs helped). If I could have done the whole trip on back roads, it would've been much better. On the plus side, I have the LWB seats, and they were perfectly comfortable the whole trip.

I have had my:
GT3.2 PDK since September 2017 (14mths) and clocked up 16,500kms
GT3 Touring since February 2018 (10 months) and done 6,500 kms
GT3.2 RS since July 2018 (5 months) and done 9,500kms.
AMG GTR since September (12 months) and done 11,000kms
So thats 42,000kms in 14mths across 4 cars. As you can see, the least driven car is the Touring. As mentioned above by Chriss88, it's just too noisy for taking on any long distance drives and yet I have happily taken the GT3.2, the GT3 RS and the AMG GTR on drives to Italy and the South of France. From my place that's almost a 4,000kms round trip for each car. I would never contemplate doing this in the Touring. Not even for a second. For me, it's pretty much confined to city work and short drives. Pity. I wanted to like it so much.

Chris did a thread on it also with some videos that was pretty illuminating IMO, at least from his perspective. I like that he can drive the cars back to back to back so his ears are likely better tuned to distinguish any audible differences, nice situation to be in
OP you are in for a treat. .2 GT3 is amazing. Im at 6k miles and the car is just getting better and better. Thought of letting her go for a 458 but just got cold feet and couldn't bring myself to do it. Will try to add the Fcar and find better garage situation next year
