Default Why so many .2 GT3's for sale?

Hey Rennlist. Its been quite some time since I've been on here. I've had my 2015 GT3 for more than 2 years now. My curiosity of the new .2 GT3 struck me(as new Porsches will always grab my attention). So I've been thinking about purchasing a 2018 GT3 and I was pretty shocked with how many are out there! over 130 for sale on autotrader. For some reason I was expecting around 30 or less. Will there be even more come 2019 models? I will add that I have 2016 GT3 Rs, and i've noticed there's over 140 of those for sale as well. I'm not trying to start a debate, just honestly wondering if I should wait a little longer[now that they say the 992 GT3 is a year out] because I am just looking for a decent deal. I never got to order my own GT3 to my spec but i'm pretty sure ill be happy with the common builds that are out there. Thank you guys.

Hey Ryan. I think a lot of guys with .2 GT3s upgraded to the .2 RS, so it could be that. Or they all had their money tied up here....

LOL. I thought the release of the new .2 RS was the reason why so many .1 RS's for sale.

doubt most people selling .2GTs are making any profit
most of these cars have PPF/coatings
tax, lic/ins

probably unloading to get RS or some Italian or British nonsense

as long they are offered above msrp - its only about making money.

as long they are around msrp - its about exchanging cars.

as long they are below msrp - its because the **** was driven out of it.

Pretty sure they have been at least 130 + 140 .2 RS delivered in US by now. Combine that with those fickle few that ordered .2 as their first GT car, you get a lot guys trying to get out easy.

Personally, I tried to a .1 RS allocation and couldn't so seeing them come down in price with lots of options out there is good for me.

Because they built a ton of them. 130 is like 5% of total built.

porsche release new model every other week seems. so I buy and sell.
if they keep making new stuff, none of them would be interesting to keep for any length of time.

The amount of GT cars for sale is no different than other exotic type cars- Ferrari, Mclaren, Lambo etc. At anyone time, there are between 80-100 of these cars for sale. GT cars no different.
