Who gives a crap if the GT2RS owners are miffed, Porsche is in the business of making money. What, they thought they'd have a limited edition car? Buy the car to drive it, not to have it sit collect dust hoping that it'll go up in value. Anyone who thinks the car won't be trading at MSRP in 2019 is kidding themselves.

GT2 RS was never a numbered car not sure why they would be miffed all knew Porsche wanted these cars driven. The only cap is what they can produce from the factory in the allocated production time. The ones I know that have the 2RS got the car to drive, and can careless about resale.

Feedback I received from 3 dealers on negative calls from recent GT2 RS buyers probably spoiled by their 997 GT3 RS value appreciation...

Just got a text frm my contact at the dealer.....2RS has been sold, but the PTS GT3 is still available. He also told me that they have a GR GT3 as well with PDK.

I'm a 18 GT2RS owner. I'm not miffed at all. We're all big boy's and girls. If you like it, buy it for whatever reason. If it goes up great. If it goes down great. The most important thing is that you ENJOY it. As to speculating on 2019 valuations........i'm not that smart. If I was, look out Warren Buffet!!!!!!!! I'm having fun every day.

I'm impressed. You have standing with 3 different dealerships that would give you information from their high value clients pertaining to the GT2RS. I'm wondering if that was an outlying opinion or a unanimous thought on the GT2RS. There were 4 cars allocated at my dealer, I have to think that the GT2RS owners were happy to acquire a vehicle as opposed to complaining about value appreciation. I only work with one dealership, but I would hope they would not divulge any of my information or confidential thoughts.

It’s not going to happen. They’re special and fairly limited and oh so potent.

Just wait until the 1-year mark hits for the majority of the VIP cars...if you think there is a lot for sale now you haven't seen anything yet. It'll be a rush for the exits to try to cash out anything over MSRP, it'll definitely be fun to watch with some popcorn.

Maybe you are referring to the 991.2 GT3RS at $50K over is easy to obtain. I have a couple of friends willing to pay/buy now at $50K over MSRP on a new GT2RS. PM me and will give you finder's fee.

Drive safe,

Some of the folks on the forum have gotten Feb 2019 GT2RS builds so sounds like they are gonna keep building them. Maybe dealers will still try to get $100k over for their allocations but as more barely used GT2RSs pile up on the resale market it should be fairly easy to get one at $50k over.

I'm calling BS. Only ones miffed would be those who missed and are w/o.. Now THAT I would believe....which is a fair call....and understandable especially if they got a chance to drive it.
