Ever thought about splitting the difference?
Carmine red touring package in black, steel brakes, platinum wheels, buckets, deviated red stitching leather interior
I have a Miami Blue with a wing. My personality and comfort are more like yours though, but I wanted an occasion car for spirited drives and occasional track use. I get the feeling I wanted when I take it out, but I won't really take it to work.
Can't go wrong either way.

Burning Brakes
Driving around like this, with a big old wing on your back, stuck in traffic, on roads with posted speed limits, makes you look silly to most of your fellow motorists. Of course, only putting 1k miles on it per year will minimize the embarrassment.
And, honestly, do you really think a GT3 will make a statement for you when 99.999% of the drivers out there don't know the difference between a GT3 and a base Carrera? Money saving possibilities here.
Really, to avoid all the nonsense, what you should do is ditch the GT3 idea (and the 997TT) and go with a base 4 drop top. Paint it yellow. And you'll get all the admiration your looking for. Plus, they're more fun.

To me, what you are getting - and worth every penny - in the GT3 regardless of variant (wing/no wing a personal choice) is the 4.0 and the manual 6-speed which is simply amazing and SOOOO superior in feel and performance over the 7 speed that is offered in all the other manual offerings. I have a 991.2 Turbo and 991.2 GT3 Touring (both Guards Red) and feel what I have is the best that Porsche offers in the PDK and manual. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't - to use the Almond Joy/Mounds comparison!

My build slot locked yesterday. Final verdict: Winged beast won out!
Big thank you to everyone for their suggestions above. I was able to make several improvements to my configuration (and lighten my wallet in the process).
And now, we wait...

Thought I wanted a touring but I could only obtain a winged car. After having the wing I would get it again. Love the look outside and in the mirrors! Love the extra adjustability of the 18 ways. Gt silver or chalk IMO.

Congrats, what was the final spec you ended up with? Or keeping it a secret?

I'll try to find the code and/or post when I'm back at my PC. Quick version is Guards Red on black w/ platinum stitching, buckets, satin black wheels, PCCB's, carbon interior styling, and plenty of extras based on suggestions above!
