Here’s my Roland Sands BMW R9T.

or not...rennlist not taking my photos today
you had Roland Sands make that on your spec or was this something his company offered? this is beautiful, congratulations!! I have been thinking that my next custom bike project would be on a BMW shaft-drive basis, an older drum brake bike though... there is simply too much architectural beauty there to ignore with the boxer engine and the super unique shaft drive. I'm envisioning a lengthened "rough" Shinya Kimura style bike, (only you know.. better than his) where i polish everything to the same level of shine, no paint at all, just pure mechanical extrusions and shapes.

love riding trails like that. one of my most memorable weeks was riding around Iceland with a bunch of crazy vikings on my KTM 450 EXC. These guys rode crazy fast in the northern icelandic wilderness, bathed naked in underwater thermal rivers we would find underground at the end of long days, and we ate goat and whale meat we had packed and salted with us. they were very kind with my "limited" abilities as the speed at which they rode over terrain was simply breathtaking.. encountering last minute ditches and finding ways to sail over them rather than falling in head-first like I would. I was "rescued" many times, not sure how i made it out of that week alive but they told me next time I came to "harden up my body and my skills"...haha. ******* vikings.

It looks like really high correlation between GT cars and Ducatis/KTMs! What a great world!

Thanks. No stickers silver wheels - like they used to make them. Ain’t got time for stickers...

I’ve got a little interior project going to - leather wrapped and stitched everything with some Miami blue leather accents (mirror, ac vents, 12 o clock, door pulls, mats, key sides all in MB leather). Work in progress...

The RS is coming along nicely. I remember when I jetted the carbs on my first bike ('92 600 F2), wasn't sure how complicated it would be but gave it a try. Once complete I sent the bike to Downers Grove Honda to validate the results. They said it wasn't bad but could be better. Had them work their magic and threw on a two-brothers full system as well. One year later I bought the '93 900 RR. You know the story... Enjoy!
