Peter, how long are your sessions? Trying to see if I can stretch a set of Pirelli slick take offs through a two day track weekend.

and other than falling off a cliff after 8 sessions, what did you think about how they feel, grip and whether they rotate on the wheel etc?

They are great. A weekend is fine!

Autoquest tent this weekend, 50GT cars, all worthless now.

I get 200 km of good grip from the Pirelli DHs, and then another 50km of ok grip, and then they should be replaced.

So, on amateur hands, the GT3RS produces better lap times than the GT2RS? It seems so, as no decent time have been posted from a GT2RS except Pro-drivers.

Man, that aint much...by my rough math, that would only be 3, maybe 4 sessions at most tracks...

Ha, sheesh. I was hoping my math was wrong.....but for takeoffs, for $500, I'll still try them. But, i dont want to have to swap wheels/tires every day doing DE

if you get cheap takeoffs that may be a better deal than mpsc2. MPSC2 driven close to what the car can possibly give only provide about 2.5 hours of fast driving and another 1.5-2 hours of slower riving. So basically 6-7 fast sessions, and another 4-5 slow ones or 3 typical track days with the third day being rather frustrating.

I doubt that. Maybe on slower tracks it's close but at high-speed ones there is no keeping up with GT2 even with a decent amateur driving. Anyway, we'll know for a fact within the next couple of months.

There are a couple of GT2RS on track this weekend but not in my run group.
The owners are not very experienced (At Sebring) and just enjoying the cars at the track. Not everyone is chasing lap times, hahaha.
I was happy to see them at the track having fun, good for them :-).

I (on the other hand lol) got a 2:136 and 2:135 yesterday.. Couldn't beat my personal best of 2:134 from last year.
Maybe today, the car has no problem 2:12 in it, I just need to clean up my driving little and 2 clear laps..
Problem is that it will rain till 7:30AM and this AM track session starts at 8:30...

Autoquest continues to make setup changes to the .2RS (Lizard) and that is a lot of fun.
Found some changes that work and we have been swapping cars bench marking against my car.
Just cruising around (3point seat belt only) feeling out the car and being very careful with it, I got a couple of 2:15's If you would have asked me, I would have said they were 2:18 laps!!
Its very different from the .1RS for sure so setup changes are very interesting.
Also; the .2RS has so much downforce that the torque only is faster in a few places, even behind me it doesn't gain much down the back straight.

2.136 lap:

Yeah, I would agree with that. But, I dont run street tires on track anymore. I just cant handle the squirm of street tries after running hoosiers. I'll either run hoosiers for $1500 for 2 to 3 track days, or slick takeoffs for (hopefully) two track days.
