My GT3 gives me peace
I’ve noticed that the more I drive my 2018 GT3, the more I love it. The transmission is great, engine is great, and the suspesion is great. Yes, it makes all kinds of noises and yes I drive it on crappy streets, but that is part of experience. I actually feel a sense of peace and calm when I cruise with it on the freeway; it’s really nice.

Couldn’t agree more, just clicked 3800 miles this weekend. I didn’t think I could enjoy a car more after my first few drives post break in, but somehow it just keeps getting better every time I drive it. This is my favorite car I have ever driven, so thankful to have it. Manual FTW!

Nice post OP!
Have my 991.1 GT3 for the exact reason, very cathartic to just drive these - suspect the manual gearbox adds to that to some degree.

No matter how crazy my day may have been, it all just fades away at 9k rpm. It is like entering my GT3 is a bubble, and the outside stresses are not able to enter that space.

I feel the same way. I’ve got 1000 incredible miles on mine and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed driving this much.
Still trying to learn how to heel toe the thing; not sure I’ll ever get it right.

I've been really down lately, perhaps its because my RS is still in transit from ED in late September. First time in years I havnt had a GT car in the garage. Perhaps that is why I have the blues.

I totally agree. Unfortunately we are off-season here so to get my GT3 fix I have to go out in the garage, take the cover off, jump in and dream about all of the fantastic 5400km I managed this year. It's not a bad subsitute for the real thing but it's still a substitute...

I miss it but a new Polaris sled will fix the blues for the winter!

I put 1600 miles on mine in the first 2 months, even though I only drive it to go out nights and weekends. Love the .2 engine, suspension, and manual transmission combo, more than any previous generation. It’s great to enjoy these cars for what they are without comparing them to others and bickering about what they have or don’t have. Every time I get in and go for a drive, I completely forget about all the annoying everyday life stuff and just enjoy the drive. One of the best stress relievers for me.

I just came back from a fundraiser for the LAFD hosted by PCALA. Met a lot of nice pope admiring my Touring, and some of them marveled at how many miles I have l already had on my Touring. 3200 miles in 8 months with no vacation trips. It's just my daily driver. Checks so many boxes for me as to what makes a great daily driver.

Couldn't agree more. The 991.2 GT3 to me is perfection, especially with a manual transmission. I won't ever get rid of this car. I just worry about going to jail with how fast this thing picks up speed in the higher RPMs...

For me, I had to go PDK. Just too much traffic to live with a manual. The PDK is ridiculous. Love the mechanical shift sounds at low speeds/low revs from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st.
Also, the GMG exhaust is just outrageous. To me, the sound is right there with the 458 Speciale Aperta. Spectacular.
Only at 100 miles but will build those up soon.
