Default “Rebuilding totaled GT3 of auction” YouTube series

Hey guys. My brother and friend are making a YouTube series based on rebuilding a Porsche GT3 that was previously totaled and purchased from salvage insurance auction. If anyone is interested in seeing what goes into these types of projects here’s the link.
This is just the intro video and step by step progress videos will be uploaded weekly. Here’s a link

Good luck. That is quite a project. I will be interested to see how you align the front tub to weld on as well as how you actually weld it.

By the way, I thoroughly enjoy goonzquad, check them out if you are looking for YouTube on rebuilding wrecked cars. It’s two very young guys, but they do a good job on both video and the actual repairs. Been watching them for a couple years (before they were a hit).

Quite the project! Best of luck

Curious if this 2014 had a G series motor swapped in before it was wrecked. I think it's doubtful the engine warranty will still apply but who knows Would be a shame to get this car rebuilt only to blow the motor shortly after and not be covered under the warranty.

usually totalled cars have their factory warranty voided by the manufacturer

That would be my assumption as well. I do wonder how a manufacturer is made aware of the salvaged title in order to make sure they void the warranty.

I’d think by car fax? Or maybe insurance tell them...

I agree completely. I wouldn’t touch that project with a 10 foot pole with out knowing for certain whether it had a G engine swap . I guess it would be a good candidate for the Dundon finger follower fix
