Why doesn't Porsche just make a standard GT2?
I think it is odd that Porsche released an RS version of the GT2 without releasing a standard version alongside it. Anyone think the same way? I hope Porsche decides to add a standard GT2 to the lineup for the 992 variant.

Probably because it would slower than the 991.2 TTS

Maybe because of supply and demand? If Porsche can make only let's say 2000 GT2 and GT2RS in total, they might as well just make only GT2RS since they can charge more for each and the market will take it anyway.

If they charge 100K more for an RS than a regular GT2, that is potentially 200 million extra dollars going to them.

PAG knows what they are doing. Turbo Exclusive is the the 991 GT2. They limit that one to make VIP's happy to get a numbered car and they don't limit the 2RS which they make more money on. This makes perfect business sense to me.

Base GT2 would be a cool car. Definitely a missed opportunity.
My guess on why not is because either a) their current lineup is just too dense (only so many of these $200k+ 911s they can sell), b) they've priced everything so high that they think there's really no more room or gap for a GT2, c) they want to make more money on the GT2RS, or some combination thereof.
"Exclusive" is just a bloatware cash grab. No cool factor like the GT2.
