I took my .2 out yesterday and is was 43 F outside and you have to be very careful. Wheels lost traction a few times and not when expected.
Glad Chris and passenger are apparently ok. Good reminder sadly that these cars can be dangerous and instill a false sense of confidence because they are so capable and planted. Ive had the rear step out a bit with full nannies on in 70 degree weather here in LA on the Dunlop's, can't imagine how much more of a handful the car would be when pushed in cooler/wet conditions with nannies off. I'll never forget Ronnie (euro delivery manager in Zuffenhausen) sternly warning me to exercise caution when pushing the GT3

Maybe the downforce of a wing would have helped him stop sooner?

I had a full size Chevy Impala make a blind left hand turn in from of my in my 2005 C2S back in 2007, and I t-boned him, HARD. I was doing about 65 mph at the time of impact. The Chevy was totaled and in fact two of the wheels popped right off the car. The aftermath of my Porsche was roughly similar to what we're seeing in the photo of the Harris GT3. My car was in fact not totaled, and $22k later was again road-worthy. But that was in 2007, and that was a C2S, not a GT3....

No nannies and Cup2's in England at this time of year? Just really dumb. Even a pro driver might have binned it in that scenario.

Good testament to how well engineered and safe these beauties are. No nannies off for me during my Euro Delivery!

Glad he wasnt hurt.
But from how he portrays himself on the videos, he was a much more humble person many years ago.

Now i just think he is a smug pompous ****** over the last few years.

Maybe, post this event, he will know like all of us he is not infallible.

Wow. Just wow. I'm sure he knew what he was doing. Some accidents are unavoidable at any speed due to the stupidity of the other driver. If he could have avoided it he would have.

My pre amble was “I’m glad he wasn’t hurt”

Its not like I want the guy to get hurt. But what I can’t have an opinion on him?

His earlier content from years ago was great. But as time goes on and he got more known, [i feel] he has really shifted his demeanour.

Obviously i I don’t know the guy personally. I am basing it off what I see in his videos.

But yeah, I stand by my initial post. Pompous ******. 😀

And yes, absolutely. Some accidents are totally unavoidable.

But something inside me smiled when saw this thread title.

[Some] people just get too big of a head when they become popular and it shows. Some people are a lot more gracious, and take it in their stride. He IMHO is the latter.

****** lol
