Champion came thru
I was one of the people who dealt with Shiraaz and had felt things seemed odd throughout the transaction . But as hard as it is to get an allocation the $15k seemed worth the lack of responsiveness and possible risk . Possible stupidity .
I feel extremely fortunate that not only did I get the car I ordered , Champion and Mr. Diaz their lawyer , after showing the paper work of deposit with Champion Autosport and the actual sales paper work had the deposit refund
paid back right away . I know there are many disappointed customers out there , but felt I should put this out there also .

Seems like an interesting deal for Champion:
- Employed someone who ends up taking deposits outside of Champion accounts
- To date they sell the cars that were promised (which they make money on), and refund the ADM amount that was taken from the client (which again they profited on the sale of the car so debatable how much out of pocket this will cost)
- They gain the rights to pursue the sales person solely I'm assuming in the signed docs by the clients once they receive their car and ADM back, and are free to recover whatever they are able in the long run - which again will be profit back to them to some degree because they've sold the cars and paid out the clients already
Sorry, doesn't seem right to me that they get to play the victim and use the cars as leverage to buy out the people that were really damaged and at risk, which it sounds like is being done.

OP - great to hear that things worked out!

Seems to me that this was a fair settlement. OP got the car he wanted, paid no ADM in the end. Was there stress, frustration? Absolutely, but in the end the OP had no damages, time to move on and learn from the experience.

That's standard procedure in a case like this. But since you got your ordered car and your initial deposit refunded, there really isn't anything you signed away. Even if they find Shiraaz, filing an IIED case against him for punitives wouldn't be worth your time/trouble. I'm glad things worked out for you.
