I drove a m2 on the track and was amazed at how well it handled. If I had the space I would get a comp pack m2. I think you would be happy with it as a daily.
Go for it Jimmy. I thought about a similar move but ultimately decided i wanted a completely different DD experience (non-sporty). Probably going Range Rover but still chewing on it. I think the contrast between a total luxury SUV during the week, and a sharp-edged sports car for the weekend would help me appreciate both more. But whatever works for you is all that matters!
This is exactly where I landed. GT3 for the weekend and Q7 for DD / family trips. Wife likes her cabrio, which is roomy enough to haul the kids in the city if needed ... so we pretty much cover all options as a family :-).
