What C-tek battery tender do I want for GT3?
Someone said it is not worth it to pay $129 or $200 or whatever for the Porsche branded ones, but there are so many choices and I don’t know which one to buy. I did search. Just whatever factory battery and would prefer it also work for an optima.

This is the one I have, have used it for 2-3 years with no issues:
These are the accessories I purchased for it:
Cigarette connect plug (instead of going to the battery, I just plug it in the cigarette lighter):
And a cover for it, in case you have cold concrete floors:
Just make sure you get the right cover for the right model of ctek.
Porsche has ctek make their battery tenders.... so there is no difference between them except for the porsche logo on it...
I would also recommend you look into flat stoppers:
These things simply prevent flat spots if the car sits for too long on a cold floor. Also been using these for 2-3 years.
Maybe an overkill, but I like them and had no issues with them.

This is the one I have used. I am sure they are all good. My only purpose for replying is to endorse their products. I have no affiliation and I have had several over the years, zero issues.

Battery tender plus with cigarette adaptor works great have been using them for over 10 years. They have been dropped, run over and still work. I also have the cteks because they are standard with amg, mclaren, Ferrari. The cteks seem more fragile. If you have lithium make sure you have the right one.

I have been using Battery Tender Plus since 2000. I have used them on my Ducati, Mastercraft boat, jet ski’s, and all of my cars. Never had a battery issue and never had a Tender go bad.

As recommended from members here, I recently went with this CTEK 7002 for my 2018 GT3 with AGM battery. I had CTEK's 3300 for the last couple cars and it worked wonderfully. I use the cigarette socket.

You need a charger for AGM batteries ^^^^ These chargers use a different charging voltage and program.

The 7002 charger is for AGM batteries ^^ according to CTEK's manual. Both of the aforementioned units are correct for this application. Confirm with the manufacturer if in doubt.

I had a battery literally explode a couple weeks ago that was hooked up to a CTEK 3300. Both battery and charger were very old, but the unit continued to indicate charging after the battery’s catastrophic failure...which makes me think it might have been the CTEK that caused it.
I have a Lamborghini-branded 3300 as well, but lesson learned...even though these extend battery life significantly, replace batteries after 4-5 years proactively. Battery acid cleanup is a whole lot more inconvenient than a dead battery.

I find it odd that the 991.2 GT3 user manual recommends connecting a battery tender directly to the battery. However my Porsche dealer only sells a Porsche branded battery tender which connects to the cigarette lighter?
