To keep out varmits turn off ventilation system, clean out gum, etc. out of car, stuff some towels in tail pipes, put some dryer sheets around the car/engine area (mice avoid these).
Also recommend driving the car after wash to shake out excess water.
Or better yet, enjoy car in Az...

Instead of stuffing towels in the tail pipes use steel wool. Varmints will eat right through the paper, but never the steel. Just don't forget to remove it in the spring! The steel wool also works wherever you think varmints may have access, but not near any electric stuff or interior.

It would be worth it to source stainless steel wool. No rust. Regular steel wool will not only rust, but any particles breaking off will leave rust marks.
Google is your friend here, plenty of suppliers.

I store my cars with the windows closed, and the car locked. Also have a few pounds of desiccant bags scattered about. That's why the windows are closed.

I forgot where I once read that you should crack you windows but I really have no idea why it should matter. I think it is probably air circulation- no clue

Glad to hear it. Have read the Michelin writeup. Live in a house that was built 36 years before Karl Benz invented the automobile -- no garage. Supersports did fine on prior car. Yes, Sport Cup 2s are next level...

Since my car is arriving in December my plan is to fit my spare wheels with snow tires and store the factory wheels and tires in my dining room (this is now a thing as I have grown attached to my table supported by spare wheels). If I get a no snow no salt day, I will drive it around. On those days I usually spend the entire day and drive every car I have to keep them from sitting too much.
