Given the shortages even Porsche thinks we’re drunk shopping.

‘Let’s get rid of paint and go full CF. Joking aside I like a few bits of CF, but I’m a paint guy but each to his own. Porsche is charging for something that’s under the paint .....brilliant marketing.

WP or not you get the same carbon hood. Just ones exposed decorative carbon and one is painted. But now they offer WP with the painted hood only because they cant make the decorative ones in time. So by default if you still want WP you only have the option of WP with a painted hood. Im sure theres rare circumstances where someone would prefer the painted hood and WP, but thats not the norm

Yeah, it’s just a cosmetic upgrade. I didn’t like the 808 specifically for the exposed carbon hood. I did like the exposed carbon wing, roof and mirrors plus the interior bits so 909 actually was a better fit for the look I was going for. I was also hoping that getting the 909 would open up the option of getting the magnesium wheels later on but apparently magnesium wheels are no longer an option moving forward. Porsche should have priced the 909 lower but you guys know how it goes...

No idea how many were approved but they are building roughly 60% with the 808 option.
