Jaime- you can ship directly to Swain Tech Coatings correct??
Hi guys, as everyone will want the GB to meet their time lines and desires, it’s best for us to offer a discount code to those interested. We’ve started this on another thread.
send me this code “321 Stainless” as a PM or email. And i’ll send a one time use 10% off code valid for 6 months.

keep in mind the products are very popular. We are small and fulfill paid orders first. We are biuilding 40 sets of catted headers in the next 2-3 weeks and already 10 of that 40 are spoken for...

Jaime,
I have been living with my long tube headers/black muffler combo for a few months now, and all i can say is, WOW!!! I've owned dozens of performance cars over the years from BMW, Merc, Porsche, Audi, etc, and have installed aftermarket exhausts on most of them.... including my last 991.1 GT3, and this is the first system I have ever installed that VASTLY EXCEEDED my expectations! The sound is completely intoxicating, and the workmanship is top-notch!

Marv, that is very kind. I'm just happy we can take the 10 of a GT3 and turn it up to 11 for you!

Default CA’s new 95 DB law.

Is there any data on how a long tube catted with stock center section setup will fair in the new CA DB craziness?
As I understand it an exhaust can’t exceed 95 DB from 20” away at 2500 RPM

That will be interesting....but the way I read it was that you are not allowed to do anything to the stock exhaust...no modifications and the stock exhaust can not exceed the 95db threshold.Vehicle Code 21750. Adequate muffler required

27150. (a) Every motor vehicle subject to registration shall at all times be equipped with an adequate muffler in constant operation and properly maintained to prevent any excessive or unusual noise, and no muffler or exhaust system shall be equipped with a cutout, bypass, or similar device.Vehicle Code 27151. Modification of exhaust systems

(a) No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the motor of the vehicle so that the vehicle is not in compliance with the provisions of Section 27150 or exceeds the noise limits established for the type of vehicle in Article 2.5 (commencing with Section 27200). No person shall operate a motor vehicle with an exhaust system so modified.
(b) For the purposes of exhaust systems installed on motor vehicles with a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of less than 6,000 pounds, other than motorcycles, a sound level of 95 dbA or less, when tested in accordance with Society of Automotive Engineers Standard J1169 May 1998, complies with this section. Motor vehicle exhaust systems or parts thereof include, but are not limited to, nonoriginal exhaust equipment.

Just bought a catted version for my car. On the .1 I had a set of the race headers and loved them. They were amazing on the car and never threw a CEL the whole time I had them. From my understanding on the .2 this will not be the case until they get the race headers sorted on the new chassis and why my decision swayed to catted for it.

95db at 2500rpm is no problem, valves will be closed as long as they're not unplugged...

Seth, and your set is not throwing any codes on my 991.1. Thanks again for the deal.
