i encourage all my GT clients to do it, because it's an awesome experience and I need as many extra 911's as i can get.
I'd say if you are going to order a GT car, you should *definitely* do ED and get your car out on some of the best tracks on the planet! its about the only time
you will ever see vmax in them!

when I took delivery of my car back at the start of August I was given a letter from the federal gov't noting that the car was not in compliance but was registered for export, I can dig it out and scan it if anyone is interested?

I didn't require a VAT payment by my dealer the last 2 EDs; however I am local repeat customer, so they know I'm not skipping town and heading to Russia. If I was an out of town or first time customer, I would understand why the dealer would require the VAT up front.

I have a Cayenne tentatively scheduled for ED next summer, my wife's car- however that is definitely not what you are interested in!

Free, but now limited to only 3 months :-(
The other German manufacturers still do free 6 months AND 7-8% discount on the car.

Peter, please explain this additionnal discount.
I've never heard of this and it looks interesting. What brand? Who is paying for the additionnal discount?

I picked mine up Sept 19th in Leipzig, my dealer never sent me my Euro delivery package. The day before pickup in Germany, I was like, ummm where do I go, what time should I be there??? Jamie gave me all the info, but still kind of ridiculous. Anyways, there was a letter stating it is an American standard emissions vehicle among the papers I received upon delivery.
