I enjoyed this.
I especially love that he ends it by saying the manual GT3 is still the one he'd have first.

Still likes the manual GT3 better as he is really bouncing around on those roads! That is saying a lot especially against the 3RS and 2 RS. It is amazing how all the testers don't say much about the 2RS engine except that it is very linear, has water injection, and produces more than ample power. There is really nothing special about the turbo engine in this car. It is just a slightly tweaked version of the turbo Exclusive series engine. The magic is in the chassis to cope with all the torque and hp. It is just a better chassis setup based on the 3RS. Even Randy Pobst goes on about this. This car gets a little too much credit in the current Porsche lineup. The real stars are the manual GT3/touring for less than half the price. It is not a motorsport engine, is not really high revving, no exotic internals etc. Can easily make a regular turbo get up to these power levels.

The engine isn't really special... but it IS powerful so when you drop it in the GT3RS chassis and send it to a track, it's gonna be epic. As a road car though... well... it's not really the one you want if you're interested in more than just the exclusivity.

I agree with you guys but I just don't see the big deal at this price point compared to the specialness of the regular GT3 manual and even the 3RS. The 2RS should be more than a modified 3RS chassis with a more boosted engine from the Turbo with a water injection system like the M4 GTS. Btw they were knocking the water injection on the M4 as gimmicky. On this Porsche it is somehow cool.
