Don't drive it home.

Waste of time and miles.

I drove my car to Rennsport from Chicago. Shipped it back to Atlanta. Drove those same roads Sunday after Petit Le Mans. Dropped the car in my hometown in North Georgia for the winter. The best roads there are rather special.

Drive it home! Look at this situation as the "transport god's" way of instructing you to save the transport costs and to put the money toward a memorable "United States Delivery" through a beautiful part of the country. Sounds like a perfect way to break your new beautiful car in!

I'm with everyone else. Drive it! Take it north from Atlanta into the mountains and have a blast. By the time you get home it will be broken in if that's your thing.

Don’t drive it. Keep it a garage queen/museum piece. I mean, you didn’t buy it to actually drive it did you? Just kidding....drive it or sell it!

If you have the time why wouldn't you? I was under the understanding that cars were meant to be driven? Am I missing something here?

This. All of this.

I flew to NC to buy my 991 and drive it back to TX. .2 years later, I still have fond memories of my trip, done with my best friend from College / best man. I don't even regret the highway miles. They were a great way to catch up, and see a part of the country I'd not seen before. We blasted tunes, grinned like schoolboys, and I got to learn my new car in 48 hours. My only regret? Not spending more than a few hours in the Smokies. Had I to do it again, I would have allotted at least a half day there of thrashing, if not a whole day. It was great.

It's on your route home. Totally do this.

WTF is the point of buying a GT3 if not to do EXACTLY this?? Sell me your car.
