Default Used GT3 991.2 CPO’d ?

Ok guys going to get my GT3 tomorrow. Need advice again. The car is NOT CPO’d. I should require this? Car is 2018 GT3 700 miles. I dont usually buy used cars so this is all new to me. Paying a nice penny over sticker. Thanks guys. Does still have the 4 yr 50,000 miles warranty.

I would try to get that included if possible. It really adds to the desirability of the car when it comes time to resale as well.

Ok thanks guys! I will try. But if I cant its not a mandatory thing rt? I will still have the warranty. But CPO’d is an extra 2 yrs on warranty and unlimited miles?

Not mandatory per se, but it is something that future buyers like to see. My last two 991s I sold were CPO (I was the second owner) and both sold within two weeks of posting on here. YMMV.

Yes, extra 2 years on top of remaining 4 year. Unlimited miles within the warranty period. Should be able to add it on for like $3K tops. They aren't gonna throw it in. I would do it. Does pass along to private sales to next owner and a big benefit.

I'm sure Porsche actuarial folks have figured they can throw this in knowing that 9 of 10 GT owners will never breach anywhere near 50k miles!

But still another 2 years they need to cover warranty on a very expensive car. I believe there is also a dealer cost to get the car into the program as well.

No way they just "throw it in".

Definitely a cost to dealers plus they have to invest $$ for anything to get it up to CPO standards. Service intervals, tires, and brakes. Obviously not the case here with a 700 mile car.

If being offered for $2,600 I'd take it. Cheap insurance.

Some dealers may throw it in. Really depends. I know for one dealer if they think you will become their service customer then they do sometimes. It’s worth a try.
