Default Factory Tour and VLN race - Oct 16-20

I'm headed over to Germany on business next week and squeezing in a factory tour on Oct 16th... then some work... then headed to the 'ring to watch the last VLN race of the year on 10/20. Can't wait for a steak on a hot rock at the Hotel am Tiergarten again.

Checking to see if any other Rennlisters are over there at the same time. Maybe you're taking delivery and need someone to ride shotgun in your new GT2 RS?

Has anyone been able to tour / see the new Taycan factory yet?

Taycan factory is there but off limits. You will enjoy the VLN race, arrive early as you can slip tru an open pit garage to get onto the grid before the race.

Head out to Brunchen and Breidsheid to view some of the race, from Brunchen you can hike uphill for 30mins along the track to view at Hohe Acht and the Karrussell, though Brunchen has lots of action and atmosphere.

Visit the Gas Station for souvenirs and a Nurburgring Map/Poster.

You will I’ll be having your steak on the hot stone at the Pistenklause, the Restaurant at the Tiergarten.

Drive down to the Blau Ecke at Adenau also for good food, or a snack at the Breidsheid entrance to the circuit.

Enjoy

Thank you very much for the great suggestions.

I've had the opportunity to quickly tour the factory and museum once before. Hope to take my time this visit.

Also driven the ring a couple times and watched one VLN race before. The pit access is outstanding.

I'll be sure to take your advice and go for a hike!
Staying at Sabine's place...great location, bar and food

I screwed up my reservation, so missed the factory tour this time around. I had already seen it once so no big deal. But, I did find a 3rd swag / driver's shop a block away, pass the dealer... and picked up an awesome jacket.

...and in the dealer next to the factory were these two gems for sale.

...and as cool as the Porche museum is, I'm sorry to say that the Mercedes museum is absolutely outstanding.

Has to be the best (car) museum I've ever seen. Just outstanding history and cars that matched major events since the early 1800s.
