I think that the pool of people who specifically want .2 GT3 (as opposed to a .1) and are willing to pay $50K more than they would to buy a very low mileage .1 GT3 is probably small. Once a .2 GT3 becomes used, it’s competing against used .1 GT3s, and the prices of the latter appear to be exerting downward pressure on the former. Now that the used .2’s are selling for around sticker with virtually no miles, it becomes harder to justify these massive dealer markups on the new ones.

If they have three other people willing to pay their asking price, then why is the car not already sold? That's what I don't get with dealers asking ADMs. Porsche of Monterey told me they are selling an RS at $30K over because these cars are super hot right now and that's the market price. Ok, well then why is the car sitting on your lot unsold right this very second if they're so in demand? They ordered this car a year ago. So they're saying that in an entire year, they couldn't get a buyer.

Granted, I like the GT3 look way better than the 981 but I am typically not staring at my car a lot =)

^ GT4.1 is definitely a fun car, but the engine will never be a screamer like the GT3...pick your generation.
To further throw a wrench into the value spectrum, the GT4.2 might be the best of all worlds...

I agree. I also wonder how much more fun a manual GT3 would be for the street over the GT4. Need to drive one back to back. I mean obviously ~9000 RPM but the GT4 with a set of dundon headers is an impressive value for a car that's still very fun on the street. It seems that 997.2 GT3's may actually sell for more than the 991.1 GT3's now, assuming no PTS.
Granted, I like the GT3 look way better than the 981 but I am typically not staring at my car a lot =)

Agree. I had a PTS slate grey GT4. Absolutely loved the color. But I never liked the cayman body style (scrunched frog) or the long gearing. And it felt underpowered. As soon as I heard 6MT was returning to the GT3, I let it go.

agree’d motor is completely different and the look is different.take out ADM and the MSRP’s were way higher then .1’s.. I would pay the extra 50k to get the motor, manual, PTS and the facelift front. I think they will just follow a % trend to MSRP for both .1’s and 2’s. People are just enjoying the show of the resell predictions. Many have not owned a gt3 or even come close but so quick respond on the “market”.

May have found a Jet Black Metallic. Where my JBM guys @? Told myself no black cars bc of cleanliness. But I keep my cars super clean anyway so it shouldnt matter. Front has a clear wrap already. Prob paint correct and ceramic coat the rest And I should be good.

The GT buyers pool is only so big with all the .1's and now .2's out there, and lots of cars in the market. Plus, many of them are the same guys just moving to the newest thing. The secondary market is out there, but not at these current .2 asking prices.
The .1 GT3's are selling now just because they're in the $120K's -$130K's ranges.
Most sales guy have a pitch to back up anything they're asking. Let them sit on these cars. Good for ScottyK on not buying the hype.
Will be hilarious to see all these threads in the next 1-2 years.
All the games have been exposed and the average Porsche dealer likability rating has to be one step above a dirty toilet.

Also another thing is 992 GT3 is already being tested (and photographed) So you guys wanting msrp should start calling good guy dealers for 992 GT3 allocations. I'm sure the car will be better in some way(s).
