Help removing frunk cover 991.2RS/2RS
Has anyone removed the inside frunk cover over the battery and brake reservoir?
I can’t release the brake ducting from the plastic cover.
My Porsche tech said the Workshop info doesn’t exist, and the owners manual sez just lift the cover.
Finally, any experience removing the black plastic brake duct covers on the TOP of the frunk. I need to help my PPF guy remove them.
TIA!

You just pull them up. Start towards the outside of the car. There is a molded retaining tab on the duct cover that is towards the center of the car.

I discovered the solution!
The trick is to remove the the rubber sealing gasket BEFORE trying to raise the cover. The slot where the tongue is inserted goes through TWO separate components (the cover and the duct beneath), so if the slots are not alignment the tongue is pinched making the gasket difficult to remove

The slotted tag on the duct should be OVER the plastic cover before the rubber tongue is installed (NOT as shown in the photo). This aligns the duct correctly and stops a potential rain water leak. If the two components are not affixed together like this the pinching problem I encountered does not occur, but the assembly is still wrong...
