Would you buy a car with Roll Cage?
Just wondering how many here would consider a GT3 with a aftermarket roll cage. A good friend of mine has been looking around for a car and came across one with a cage. Owner put it in with the plan to track the car but never really got time to do it. Any negatives to buying a car with cage?

1) Make sure install looks good (bolted not welded) and parts are quality.
2) Drive car and check for rattles.
3) Purchase car if rattle free and price is right.

Would only bother me if it was in a car w/o LWB or aftermarket seats. Harness bar in a car w/ 18-ways is just awful.

Its not - thats cockapoo.
Having a half cage would add structural rigidity and prevent roof collapse in a roll over. Helmet or not, this is safer. Your head should never come into contact with any part of a half cage during an accident. Unless you were riding in the back.......

And yes, properly installed, a roll cage, actually the GMG is really only a half cage, is a plus, would make me more likely to buy it. I would not believe the "never tracked it" statement, though. Makes me suspicious of any other statements made.

I would have no problem, would actually appreciate I don't need to spend the cash putting one in! however as stated above, would need to be installed well and be in a car with LWBs and harnesses. I would not have any prblems with a car that's tracked, typically they are better maintained then those who don't track them.
