Great video. Two amazing cars. I used to believe the whole "street legal race car" thing about cars like the 3RS. Once you drive an actual race car you realize that's more marketing than reality. For sure there are street cars that are much, much better suited for the track than others but a car that's built ground up for the track is just different. That's why you need to be like the owner in the video and have both!!

Great vid. Very simply Porsche gives you a s street car that’s as close to a race car as you can get while still being livable as a street car.

Thanks for making and taking the time and effort to put this together. I thought the 2RS was very impressive (as would be expected).

I don't get it with the different tires. Shouldn't they both be on the same tires? If the cup car is on slicks the 2RS needs to be on slicks. The video was fun to watch but would be much more interesting on the same rubber. I wonder what the cup car would have done for a lap time with those street tires.

trst was done as cars are delivered from factory... howe er the gt2rs on slicks still wouldn't catch the Cup...it's be a few seconds closer but the Cup would probably still be 3-4sec a lap ahead

Great comparison of NA, weight, tires, suspension and aero v. Turbo. Reminds me what AP said about HP and weight. Liked the Bueller reference too. And, the take driving lessons to go faster story. Great job!

Think slicks on 2RS voids warranty.

Awesome video, very well done!!

Tracked my 2RS for the first time this weekend at Sebring, and 100% agree with Bryan that its a tricky car to be able to get everything out of it consistently. The car defiantly needs suspension setup for the track as it got difficult to push past 7/10ths. Also, I had a issue of running out of water 15 min in a 30 min session, which caused loss of power (felt like 100 HP less) so breaking points changed halfway through every session, this was very frustrating. Emailed Manthey racing today and they will not ship the extended water tank to the states, so we need to figure out how to get a bigger tank in the states because that is a MUST if you plan on tracking the 2RS.

Hello BK77, hope all is well. Are you thinking of installing the Manthey suspension? Another well known member here and I were talking about requesting Manthey to install their suspension on the GT2RS. They might come here if there is a "Group Buy/Install"?

I was informed although not sure yet that the lift can be kept if need be, instead of deactivating it.

Drive safe,
