Default RS thermostat

My flawless RS got a bath this morning and on the trip to the gas station the dash lit up with an orange CEL with the message
Engine control fault take to service

Did I mention I was about to load onto trailer to go to NCM with tentenths?

I tried my Porsche carsoft code reader with no success and then called my local dealer. They got me in iimmediately and the code issue is the temperature control module or the thermostat.

They have to order parts so they reset the code and I drove home. Now it’s running great for thirty miles home but.....

I know a lot of my buddies out there may have had this issue - how soon did the second occurrence happen.

Can I go to the track is limp mode in my future?

Update

Great day at National Corvette Museum. Car was perfect all day and half of today. Great group to run with for HPDE if you get the chance.

Ambient temperature was 85 and the car water temp max was 201 and oil 221 during runs with good fluctuation all day.

No further CEL.

Dealer to change temperature control module and thermostat this week.
