Added. Please read the note. Like to hear from original owners that have every intention of keeping the car. We don't need to know what you "would" order, what you think is better, what is going to be worth more etc etc. All those have been beat to death.

6sp MT for me. I think I'll be stepping off the merry go round for awhile. I haven't put my name on a list, and don't feel like I want to. I can see myself getting an air cooled car down the road, but I think that would be in addition to the GT3 not replacing it.

The problem is RL is not exactly a good representation, or any representation, of the market for flippers vis-a-vis a 1.2 GT3.

Spend too much time on here and you lose sight of the fact that this forum is a rather myopically constructed fishbowl that doesn't really reflect the rest of society.

Lols!

Well if the next GT3 will be wind powered with a CVT transmission, maybe it'll get to $500K in my lifetime! I mean it is still all speculation so who knows, amirite???

Winged MT for me. Stripper except for LWBs and FAL. But I do plan to flip mine, after about 100,000 miles....

6MT, LWBS, regular brakes, wing.

I'm glad the RS doesn’t come with MT anymore and the 997 RSs are all ridiculously overpriced and old (compared to 991.2 GT3) for me to consider buying. No temptation.

Agree with above.

6MT because I plan to keep it. It’s the linkage backward to the original 911 experience and the inability to find that in any other current 911 model. NA/MT.

Had I gone PDK I would have had less a linkage to the past and very likely looking to the future to trade up for the latest and greatest. I’d be looking for an RS had I gotten PDK.

I’ve posted this on other threads, but just yesterday Johnny Lieberman stated on IG that the Wingy 6MT GT3 is the best Porsche. I do believe he implied currently for sale.

And we all know how Chris Harris voted with his money.

Had a 991.1 with pdk (obviously) and sofas for a little over a year and now a 991.2 with manual and buckets.

Definitely enjoying the car with manual more than the pdk version. Buckets rock and are very comfortable for me. Love my current spec (wing, miami blue) but am wondering if I would be driving more if I had a white or black touring. Either way would def get manual and buckets.

3rd GT3; 997.2, 991.1 and .2. Needless to say we all know the first two transmission choices as there were none. I chose a 6MT w/LWBs, PCCBs and Wing for my .2 and love it. I think I want the RS, however, when recently offered one (customer cancelled last minute) with an excellent spec other than a color which would not be one of my top three picks, I said no because I really don't want to give up my 6MT. If the perfect RS came along I would think harder about it...

All said, I very much enjoyed my .1 w/PDK-S; fabulous transmission.

ordered with the 6MT but I went back and forth a few times. The PDK GT3 was awesome at PEC LA but since I am mostly driving on the street, decided to go with the manual for a bit more fun. If I want PDK I'll get an RS.

PTS (Light Ivory) Touring with LWB and PCCB - I would like for it to be an heirloom but I better get to work, as I don't have any kids. I love the PDK transmission and my daily driver is a PDK 991.1 GTS cab. Best of both worlds.

I'm already doing the risk management on this one and driving the value off of mine. If prices start to rise faster than expected, I'll just drive it more.

I don't ever want to be tempted to try to preserve it. I may never have a better car. I'm sure as hell going to enjoy every bit of this one.

Totally agree, especially the part about probably never finding a better car.

I managed 3370 miles in 3 months with my car, before weather and lack of sunlight put an end to the fun last weekend. That milage is what I have historically managed over a full season (6 mths) with the previous P cars. With this one, every time I get out of it, I immediately think - bloody hell, I want to drive more. If I didn't have a job, family and social life, I would be driving it all the time. And sleep in the garage.
