Default Selling prospect with roll cage or without...

Hi guys,
What is the current thinking of buying/selling a GT3 with roll cage or without. The Rennlist crowd is not the only game in town, so keep that in mind.
I get that the cage implies tracking and so there's a discount, but, to me, the cage (I'm talking half cages here) is pretty cool and in keeping with these cars' heritage.

So, bottom line, I like the cage in my GT3. I will track it, so there will be a discount.

But if I decide to sell, then should I take it out?

Mario

I guess the common wisdom is to try to hide the track history to get the best sale price - but probably better karma to be honest about it, leave the track bits in, and find a similarly minded enthusiast who'd appreciate the car for what it is

When I bought my first GT3, I was looking for one that already was Track prepped. I paid a market price comparable to other non prepared GT3’s and then did not have to spend the money preparing it for Track duty. I considered it a big win. You probably will not recoup costs paying someone to remove cage and replacement for cut rear carpet. Ask a fair price, a buyer will come.

I sold all mine low priced as they sat.
Not worth the time and hassle to remove IMHO.

Thanks for the replies. I figured as much. I am in the fortunate position of having an 18 gt3 that I put the cage in and then I had the “opportunity” to buy a new RS which I did.

It it doesn’t really seem to make sense to keep the gt3 at this point, so I was thinking of switching the roll cage to RS. Given the labor, it probably is better just to buy new stuff for the RS, but then what about any of this makes sense.

Trakcar, I see S FLA. I live in Miami for much of the year and will be bringing at least one down to take to the tracks. Maybe we can meet up?
