GT2RS ? GT3RS? 600LT?
Hi, new to the forum and I'd like to know what people think of these three cars. Of course GT3RS might not be a suitable comparison due to it's lowered cost and NA engine, but I am sure the purists will take the GT3RS over GT2RS any day.
Now that these cars in the country that I am from are not being sold over MSRP and they probably will not go up in value either. So it's really only base on their performance, fun to drive, aesthetic and maybe others that I can think of to compare these cars.
I've watched so many youtube videos on the GT2RS and GT3RS and they are incredibly fast. GT2RS are going to be built around 1000 or so units in it's production period so I have heard? GT3RS is rumored to be the last NA engine Porsche? I mean either one is gonna be a great ride, but to me the Porsche 911's just lack the supercar look that Lambo, McLaren and Ferrari have. Other than that, there's isn't really anything that the GT2RS can't do compare to the 600LT. Not even going to consider the 720s as regular McLaren models depreciate like a huge rock in the water. Also considering using the 600LT as a step stone to maybe upgrade to the 7xx LT in 2~3 years or so. It's just the performance figures on the GT2RS is just that good... I am having a dilemma to which to put deposit on... I've also considered the GT3RS, but I mean would it be logical to think if I could get a GT2RS, why go for the GT3RS? or do people have other reasons to choose the GT3RS over the GT2RS and eventually the Porsche over the 600LT?
Thanks for the feedback!

Thing with GT3RS is that the resell value isn't good here; at least for 991.1 GT3RS and where I live is Taiwan... and there are just way too many 991.1 GT3RS, what I heard was that China's allocation got moved to Taiwan and there are like over 150 of these in Taiwan, and a lot of people are selling the 991.1 GT3RS because the 991.2 GT3 is faster and you can basically get a brand new 991.2 GT3 for the same price as an used 991.1 GT3RS... So, I am skeptical with the future value or I should say the rate of depreciation for the 991.2 GT3RS.
From the responses so far, it seems like people would go with the GT3RS I guess... no one voting for the 600LT?

Right, I totally forgot about the water filling part. Is it really annoying? Watched youtube and they were saying something like 4 laps around the Nurburgring and you gotta fill it up.

I have not driven any of the 600LT press cars or the new 3RS yet. I have only driven the 2RS for one mile.
but in 2016:
the 675LT was at the time the best and most engaging car I had ever driven from anyone.
the 911R and the 997 4.0 are WAY more engaging than the 991.1RS- which felt completely boring until 130mph or at 10/10ths on a race track.
my favorite car of all time is the F1.
my favorite porsche is the CGT. the next 4 Porsches in the top 5 are interchangeable for me:
993GT2
997 4.0
911R
964RS
- each one has strengths and weaknesses but the CGT is always the high water mark.
the 720 is insanely fast. the senna is even faster. but the 675LT is super pretty and loud and the handling and brakes are insane.
the 600LT is faster to 120mph than the Gt2RS by .1
it has the same style transmission as the 675LT which to me was the best paddle shift ever.
so, hopefully it's that good. i think in the right combo (roof scoop, senna seats) it will be over 300k and therefore a direct competitor to the 675LT.
to me- he who can afford a 350k car can find a way to own more than one

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Do you like forced induction or N/A? If N/A, the choice is clear--3RS. Forced induction, the LT would be my pick. It's getting rave reviews and is quite a bit less expensive than a 2RS. The 3RS and 600LT will come in close to the same price with current pricing models. So, you have to consider that as well. None of them are limited in numbers but in time of production. The Porsches will probably hold their MSRP value better but with markups the depreciation amount may look similar between the Mac and Porsches. Good luck! I'm in the same boat but looking at GT3s as well.

I just read the Top Gear review on the 600 LT and I think they are saying that there's noticeable changes going from the 570s to the 600LT; however, it's nothing compare to going from a 650S to the 675LT. I guess the reason being is that they can't make the 600LT too good cause that'd be in the 720s territory. I wonder why McLaren doesn't do Nurburgring lap time like Porsche and Lambo? Do they find it pointless or something?
GT2RS reviews are just incredible as well, a very well balanced car and in Taiwan, the cost with options and Weissach Package is roughly the same as the 600LT with the MSO Clubsport Package and other necessary options like Vehicle Lift, Parking sensors and cameras etc...
I actually do not have a preference over N/A or Turbo Charged, nevertheless, I do appreciate N/A's high reving engine and no turbo lag.
What really sucks in Asia is that the import car prices are so high that at this time, I can only afford one of these supercars. To give you an example, a BMW M2 is about 98.7K US$ here... M6GC is about 227K US$.... and base price 600LT is about 414K US$, so a descently optioned 600LT will cost roughly around 510K US$!! GT2RS base price 444K US$... It's insane...

I am also curious that with the 600LT, it's equipped with the Trofeo R tires. I imagine it would be ok to with maybe PZero Corsa or Cup2's as Trofeo R is not very common here...
