my sarcasm must have not played out well. My previous post is sarcastic as well just a heads up
i say decide with what you would want emotionally. A few tenths of a second on a specific track on a specific day shouldn’t make anyone’s mind up i dont think

I think the 600LT will trump them all... but McLaren resale is so horrible... if that's a consideration... you choose GT2RS all day (Money no object) and if money is an object... then GT3RS is the right one for me.
I'll pick up a used Mclaren some day.

Dave

I just read the Top Gear review on the 600 LT and I think they are saying that there's noticeable changes going from the 570s to the 600LT; however, it's nothing compare to going from a 650S to the 675LT. I guess the reason being is that they can't make the 600LT too good cause that'd be in the 720s territory. I wonder why McLaren doesn't do Nurburgring lap time like Porsche and Lambo? Do they find it pointless or something?
GT2RS reviews are just incredible as well, a very well balanced car and in Taiwan, the cost with options and Weissach Package is roughly the same as the 600LT with the MSO Clubsport Package and other necessary options like Vehicle Lift, Parking sensors and cameras etc...
I actually do not have a preference over N/A or Turbo Charged, nevertheless, I do appreciate N/A's high reving engine and no turbo lag.
What really sucks in Asia is that the import car prices are so high that at this time, I can only afford one of these supercars. To give you an example, a BMW M2 is about 98.7K US$ here... M6GC is about 227K US$.... and base price 600LT is about 414K US$, so a descently optioned 600LT will cost roughly around 510K US$!! GT2RS base price 444K US$... It's insane...

Right, I totally forgot about the water filling part. Is it really annoying? Watched youtube and they were saying something like 4 laps around the Nurburgring and you gotta fill it up.
Thing with GT3RS is that the resell value isn't good here; at least for 991.1 GT3RS and where I live is Taiwan... and there are just way too many 991.1 GT3RS, what I heard was that China's allocation got moved to Taiwan and there are like over 150 of these in Taiwan, and a lot of people are selling the 991.1 GT3RS because the 991.2 GT3 is faster and you can basically get a brand new 991.2 GT3 for the same price as an used 991.1 GT3RS... So, I am skeptical with the future value or I should say the rate of depreciation for the 991.2 GT3RS.
From the responses so far, it seems like people would go with the GT3RS I guess... no one voting for the 600LT?

Have you personally driven any of the cars that you are referring to in your OP? If you have, then I suggest you buy the one that makes your heart jump with joy. If you haven't, then I would strongly suggest that you do. That would settle the issue for you.
If you don't have access to test driving any of the cars then you are in quite a soup. You probably don't want to buy a car from the list you mentioned without test driving them.
Personally, the .1 GT3RS is a real bargain right now. If you want to buy a GT NA Porsche, a .1 RS is a steal. I assure you that unless you are a professional race car driver like CJ and others you are not going to extract the most out of any one of these cars and trying to base your purchase decision based on projections of future depreciation is foolish. At least as foolish as trying to time the sale of an individual stock when you are thinking of buying the stock. I don't think that your joy factor when you are racing or driving a .1 RS is going to be in any form marred or snuffed out by the knowledge that a .2 RS may or may not be the last NA Porsche builds. I don't think that thought crosses any of our minds.
I don't know much about the 600LT but I don't even care. When the day comes and the .1 RS becomes 'too boring' on the street or track then I will start looking. That day is just so far ahead for me that I am not even going to worry about it and I am going to drive the heck out of my .1 RS!
I would suggest you buy the car you like the most and just have fun. "Baby, you gotta have fun."

there s a reason why Porsche and BMW M4 GTS have their turbo track cars water sprayed to keep their engine cool thus reliable lap after lap
How can you chase a Ring record if after 2 laps your turbo engine is overcooked?

Don't forget GT2RS adm which absolutely will go down into the calculation of what money you actually lose. Historically Mclaren's do lose, but limited (either via production or dictated number) ones seem to do fine. Don't forget the 600lt is at minimum 100k less (often more) than the 675 when announced and back then when they brought the spider out people dumped the coupe because they got caught buy surprise...this time we know a spider is coming out...So they may fall a bit, but not for a bit, and even then, more to the tune of 50k than 100 or 150k as some of the older ones have. My vote is obv for the 600lt, but I'm biased haha.

If I can't find a 991.2 3RS allocation at MSRP (which at this point seems impossible); I might try and get the 600LT. It looks amazing. And might be nice to try something different for a change. Will these be hard to get?

I was not impressed by the 570. However the 600lt adds that extra sense of rawness that I’m intrigued by it. After owning an rs and a touring, and looking at all the games surrounding the brand, a change to the 600lt would be desirable. Going to look very closely at one of these. I’m currently working on a 720- waiting for the right spec, but if I can’t find one- might work with the dealer to consider one of these.

I know for sure the 600 LT is the easiest one to get an allocation to configure. All three cars are exciting to me, but the GT3RS would fit my use of the car best. Consider also the proximity of the McLaren dealership is to you!
