It looked OK in person. It was briefly on the track for a photo session on Friday afternoon. Sounded good, not sure if it was louder than a GT2RS. Hard to be enthused about it given it’s not a homologation car and it was surrounded by hundreds of historic race cars @ Rennsport.

The main differences I was considering are the Sequential gearbox and the high revving race motor of the Cup. PDK doesn’t have the annual refresh requirements of the sequential (this used to be $7k 10 years ago - probably more now) and the $25k rebuild cost of the motor which has 100 hour service interval.

The 935 has street drivetrain from GT2 RS. Low revving motor (lower than a base Carrera) and street pdk are designed for much longer service intervals.

I wondered about that myself. I know CJ is successful and has the means, but is there ever a point where you say this is too much? Even at dealer cost, this is not a good buy. Probably not with these limited editions as the greater fool theory says you will always have really rich guys who will pay up to be in the club.

Porsche desperately need to stop trying to relive past glories and produce cars today that will be replicated 30 years from now

I'm shocked this thing is not getting much love here. If I had 750k burning a hole in my pocket I'd be all over this

Just because you dislike it doesn't mean everyone else does and the car has to be a "joke"...

Except for the billboard sized wing endplates, I love it.
