Been inquiring with about a dozen companies and half won't insure the RS. I have a clean driving record. Grundy is 3200 annually and Hagerty is a few more dollars. Both Grundy and Hagerty are stated values 230K and 500K liability. How do these rates sound ? I was shocked to learn NV is in the top five most expensive markets to insure a car, SMDH I'm in the middle of the desert.
I have 2 at Grundy. They were significantly lower than Hagerty. But on new cars, even those that are lightly driven (less than 5k miles) Grundy was more than my normal carrier USAA. My new 991.2 GT3 was significantly higher at Grundy than USAA even with 2 16 year old drivers recently added to USAA.

We pay absolutely obscene rates for our cars here in NY. Something like $2500/yr for my GT4 (less than half the value of a GT3RS) through USAA. My agent recently shopped other carriers and said nothing else would be better. My wife and I are in our 40s, with good driving records. I blame NY’s “no-fault” status in combo with so many crazy/idiot and/or uninsured drivers.

This all depends on where you live and the number of cars you have on your policy with the same carrier. When I added my GT2RS onto my Hagerty policy, it increased my overall policy by $300. You read it correctly, $300. This is because the GT2RS was my 10th car with Hagerty that puts my policy in a higher category. See the more you buy, the more you save!

Have insured my last 3 GT3's with Hartford. Under $1000 a year...……...California Bay Area!
