The user manual seems to be one version older.

Yes, it does look like an older version.

subtract around ~22-24 secs for the Dottinger Hohe GtoB straight ... so around 7:45-50

I should add that I was only able to pull off the 7:35 by drafting a couple of fast Swede's in PDK GT3's ... otherwise I was pulling 7:40-45's fairly consistently ... I could go faster in a PDK car :)

I'll take it! Lol! Pulling a fast time during TF is really hard because of traffic, no?

Totally, all it takes is *one* car to mess up your lap time ... I did most of my (fast) laps at the Destination Nurburgring "Ringmeisters" event over 2 days at the end of August (I can recommend the event organizer)
the # of GT3 and RS'es at the event was simply "nuts" ... by far the most common car in the car park!!!

no fewer than 3 Lizzard Green RS'es ... insane!

CU@RRV-VI???

I secretly want to go with a bunch of friends and all rent all those (yellow) Suzuki Swifts from Rent4Ring and head out onto the Ring! :burnout:

Apex looks like a pretty cool place to both stay and rent!

That sounds like a load of fun.
A bunch of things have come up and I probably won't be able to go to Monterey this weekend anymore . :-(

Fantastic write up orthojoe. Amazing experience, Europe is the ultimate place to own or drive a GT car.

Whenever I read these ED threads, it takes me back to 2015 when I joined Trakcar on his ED with Mr Purple... Memories and laughs that will be with me for life.

ED is a definite must do!

Look forward to hearing your thoughts when you get her stateside to familiar tracks :cheers:

Looks like you had a blast! Thanks for sharing and congrats on the RS!

Joe, I ran Spa a few days after you in my ED RS; oddly we went about same lap times, 2:46.6 was my best. it was my first time at Spa and was surrounded by guys in fast cars who knew the track well, so at first i simply tried to stay out of the way! The quickest lap of the day was a 2:36 layed down in a stock GT3RS, so I have some time to find. But what a track, looking for an excuse to get back somehow.

TRAKCAR 09-30-2018 12:23 PM

Here I thought 2:40 was fast in an RS..
ive not gone below 2:44.

any chance the 2:36 was a .2RS on R tires?

cant wait to go back :-)

theres a YouTube link to it, but I’m not tech savvy! said he was running Dunlop’s. At this event no slicks allowed; there were 27 GT3 RS and 8 GT2 RSs.

Nice! I'm guessing that getting Eau rouge right can buy A LOT of time with such a long straight after it. Same with blanchimont. Shaving time there is simple conceptually, but takes confidence and bravery

2:36 is ridiculous! Must be some sort of record or close to it??

TRAKCAR 09-30-2018 12:57 PM

It’s very fast.

I think because all the traffic and apprehension of O Rouge you brakes too early, so you lost time on the way to the top, not so much after exiting.

I didn’t look at my video but in my (selective!!) memory I braked later. Will check it out sometime with more bandwidth.. my 0.02 and could be very wrong Joe!

Oh I definitely lost a lot of time on the way to the top. At the exit it felt like a casual Sunday drive. Lol! It's gonna be a long time before I get another chance there....

The weird thing right now is that one of things I'm really missing and looking forward to when I get the car back is flicking that shifter. Seems weird, but it's so fast and impressive you can't stop doing it.
