Default MSCP2 Tire Comparison for the '19 GT3 RS

I will be ordering new tires after another two track events and want to replace the Dunlops that came with the car with the Michelin Sport Cup 2's. Comparing the costs on Tire Rack; the N1's are $1984.; the N2's are $2172 and the R's are $3336. per set. Have any of you run the R's and determined the approx. 35% price differential is worth it?

If you are capable of breaking a lap record- the R is worth it.

If you are 2 seconds off the pace, you will just be spending money for no reason

definitely get the R's. why not?? dollars are small relative to a lot of the other crap people put on their car that they don't need (options, PPF, etc.). I'm a big believer in always buying the best tires available

$1300 to run a second or two faster but for how long. Isn't being on a track about the overall enjoyment rather than one or two good laps. I have an RS on order but wont track it much. My track car is a wolf GB08. Set of tires is $1800 and last me 15 heat cycles and I run circles around an RS at half the cost.
My point being, enjoy the heck out of the RS, run lap after lap, but who cares about a few seconds here and there. Most of the time you are in traffic anyway.
Maybe I have had one or two cocktails to many so just ignore. Love the GT3 RS cant wait to drive it.

From my understanding is the R wears fast but is a fast tire in its zone....the regular Cup 2 is what you want to drive to the track and get some longevity out of for some fun track days.
