Default New RS fire extinguisher

Does it get in the way for the passenger? Is it worth having? Is it hard for a younger child to sit on passenger side not having legs long enough to go over the extinguisher?
Thanks for any input.

The fire extinguisher sits relatively tight up against the front of the seat. Typically you don’t have your feet that high up since it’s not a comfortable seating position. So, no, I don’t think it gets in the way. As far as for kids, my 7 year old son doesn’t seem to mind the fire extinguisher when getting in and out of the car.

Fwiw my wife is 5'2" and she complained that the extinguisher was in the way of her legs. I'm 5'8" and it is not an issue

It can rattle.
When we had to have it in some race groups I put a good bottle on the roll bar.

the small Porsche one is useless, but then again if my car is on fire, hand me a jug of gasoline, not a fire extinguisher.

Just added weight.

Avoid. At. All. Cost.

Whoa, didn’t think of the rattle. My rationale was if the car has a remote chance of catching on fire, this is one car I’d try to save as it would be hard to replace. Having said that, if the car smokes on start up I’d start un strapping the extinguisher lol.

Re weight savings, I suck at driving compared to a lot of you and only weigh 150lbs. My 8 year old is usually my only passenger and didn’t know if would get in his way.

Rattle, small chance of fire, potential comfort issues, and did I mention rattle will likely be deal breaker.

Thanks much
