Default Wheels

Are the wheels from the .2 GT2 RS interchangeable with the wheels from the .2 GT3 RS?

The wheels do say GT2 RS or GT3 RS embossed on the rim, in case that matters to you...

I know the stock alloys are embossed but when I looked at the mags there was no embossment.

Yes, they fit. Grant is correct:

"The new, light-alloy wheels of the 911 GT2 RS are painted in White Gold Metallic (high-gloss) and characterised by visible, recessed 'GT2 RS' logos on the rim. At this performance level, the central locking system goes without saying. The central wheel bolts are black and feature the distinctive 'RS' logo."

This only relates to the light alloys that come stock, not the optional magnesium wheels. From my examination, the optional magnesium wheels do not have recessed logos. In fact, they have no logos at all.

They don't say GT2 RS or GT3 RS on the magnesium wheels. Only on on the aluminum wheels.

I thought the offsets were different since 3RS and 2RS are “wide bodies” ? I know they’ll physically fit, but won’t they sit differently than the standard GT3 wheels?

oops.., it pays the read the WHOLE question... sorry guys. Carry on.

Thanks. I talked to them today. They have great connections to BBS and can get them shipped right away. I can get them for a little less from my dealer because I bought the car from them, but I have to wait 10-12 weeks. I decided to go with my dealer and wait longer. Hoping they come in sooner. Fingers crossed!

That’s not too long of a wait....they will look fantastic on your car! You will be impressed by how much the handling improves with the light weight wheels.

Thanks. That makes me feel batter about this big purchase. I have the magnesium wheels on my GT3 RS and noticed the handling seems better. Wasn't sure if it is the car or the wheels or both. Will be interesting to find out.
