I love the manual transmission. I really do. But something about the RS is calling my name. Tiny bit more power (no difference I suppose). But a lot more aero and mechanical grip. Plus I like the loudness of all the vents and larger wing.
It's a tough decision. Just gotta decide if you want the top dog NA car or you really want the manual transmission.
I have 6MT and I'm hearing the 3RS siren call also, dammit.

Are you finding that the standard GT3 does not have sufficient mechanical grip for street driving?

To each their own
This ^^^. And no third pedal. I ended up passing on RS.

It's got plenty of grip for the street. Just doesn't feel as planted, at least not compared to the .1 RS I drove. It's a tough call either way. Both are fantastic cars. The RS is an RS... The GT3 has the manual. Decisions decisions.

Who says? The last gen 991.1. GT3RS was made in larger numbers than the GT3. How will this round be any different?

Taken from a 2016 article regarding worldwide demand:
"The production line would be discontinued last February, after building the planned 2000 units. The demand for the GT3 RS turned out to be so great that the production continued. The final number of 911 GT3 RSs that have been produced would be 7000 , although Porsche does not make any statements about it."

Note that US Market roughly accounts for 40-50% of the demand.

Hmmm...I may be incorrect. I recall something like 8000-9000 units globally but then came across the U.S. figures here and yes, less than 2000:

I'm in no way saying that's the case lol. I'm saying the RS has more mechanical and aero grip. That doesn't mean the GT3 is inadequate. But the RS is clearly better in that regard.

And I'm not talking about on the street.
