2. it's really troubling to me that a multi billion dollar company can make up things as they go along... if my 8 year old changes his decision back and forth, he will be SEVERELY punished. perhaps PAG is run by 3 YO?

I know. But it seems to work for them. Create scarcity and slowly bleed out more and more supply over time. Plus, who knows if it's Porsche that actually ever says anything about "mode yr 2018 only" type stuff or if that's just dealers reading any tea leaves to spin the product more desirable. I don't see it as anything sinister; they are in business to create demand for their product.

If we (buyers) just look at recent Porsche GT production behavior, we can draw our own conclusions about any "limited" production claims: 991.1 GT3RS, GT4......now 2rs and .2gt3. Shouldn't be a surprise. They all started out as much more limited production assumption, but Porsche responded to demand and made a lot more. As they will continue to do.

Demand for their GT product is off the charts compared to 996/997 days. And their supply response is equally off the chart high. If you add up .1gt3, .2gt3, .1-3rs, .2-3rs, R, 2rs, speedster/gt3 cabrio, 981gt4, 982gt4, 981spyder, 982spyder (any other send-offs); it's gonna be an unprecedented number of GT product produced during a cycle.

Porsche has real demand so why not produce more.
Pleased customers is an admirable goal.

For what it's worth, I acted upon the letter posted. How could I not? I have a build that just locked and would love PTS. However it was looked into by PCC and there are no slots for Canada yet. PTS already booked up for the year and production is sold for CY2018 as of yesterday. For those in Canada following trends, expect news mid-end of October related to that letter. That's how it has gone all the other times, we're 1 month or so behind.

Limited run like 2016 991.2 GT3 very likely. Not full year production.

Information clearly says MY 2019 GT3.

Actually there is in fact a memo. You can debate the validity of it, but not that it existed. I suppose someone could have fabricated and yanked it for the ultimate troll?
