Default Replace or Repair for very slow leak on 18 GT3?

hi everyone and thank you in advance for the input. My 18 gt3 has 2100 miles on it and I just got my second flat on the same tire (rear passenger). First one was at 400 miles and I ended up replacing the tire. Yes my neighborhood has a bunch of careless homebuilders spewing nails and screws everywhere. Anyways this one is a super slow leak from a small staple in the middle of the tire (groove area) it’s a very small hole. A bunch of people say to just plug it. I’ve cslled all the dealers and nobody will do a patch which I would prefer. Any recommendations on shops in south Florida that can remove the center lock off? I also considered replacing the tire as well but worried the car will handle strange due to differing tread depths on the two rear tires. It just seems silly to dump the tire because it really is a very small puncture and super slow leak. Worried about plugging. Thank you.

I'd get it plugged. I have one in my right rear which has been there for around 9k to 10k miles. There is a special plug which can be inserted from the outside. It looks like a mushroom. A patch can also be made from the inside. There is also the old style corded plug. That's what I have in mine. If it's close to the sidewall I wouldn't do it.

Properly patch it! I run patched tires all the time on track.

Take it to a tire shop (not dealer) and have it patched. Also, my dealer offered a tire warranty for road hazards like this. I think it was @$500? I cant remember, but it is a 5 year warranty for free tire replacement for any kind of hazard like this. Well worth the price..

Give Tirerack a call to find a local installer.

I would do this. Plug kits are pretty easy to use.

If it were me - street car, plug and/or patch. Track car - replace.
Tire Rack around here is familiar with the center lock wheels.
