Let's look at it like this ...I'm not sticking up for dealers.
but when you have a business don't you want at least make 20% profit ?
so a dealer makes 15 k that's like saying 10% is that wrong?

Dealership business model is very complex and can't be analyzed by single vehicle sale, there are a lot of factors that have to be considered.

You have to factor in all aspects of the business including revenue generated from financing/leasing, servicing the cars, etc. They are making more money than you think.

You got that right....
I always said, we're spending hundreds of thousand of dollars on them, and we should get some respect, not to get lied on. Obviously most of us not idiots, able to buy cars this expensive. If I get promised a price, I expect them to honor it. Not later on auction it to someone who would pay higher (Monterey, Zielinski).

I have no issues with them making money ...they are allowed
just like 300/400 and hour attorneys.
and doctors who make plenty.
and restaurant owners that make plenty also.

They make money and spend money just like any normal business.
This is the United States land of capitalism ....nothing wrong with that.

God bless to anybody who knows how to make money .

This low margin thing is a farce on PAG's and dealers ends. Porsche doesn't sell anything low margin.
That number is incorrect.

You keep pulling stuff out of thin air. Please stop.

What is the correct $ if u know better?

I am confident I have the correct $ from an inside source. Not pulling anything out thin air. This is dealer margin NOT PAG margin.

Out of that, they also have to pay commission to sales guy.

On a GT3, a dealer has $15k-20K profit before various performance incentives.

Its usually 10% on base and 15% on option. On top of that you get various bonuses based on overall MSRP, how may you sell, meet goals, etc, etc, etc. Then you have your deductions of floor plan, inventory, comissions, etc, etc, etc.

There are way too many ways unknown to the general public to arrive at a definite statement of profit/margin.

Oh who cares. You either want the thing bad enough to spend the money or you don't. Personally I have other pursuits I'd rather spend my limited disposable income on.
