GT3RS - PTS or Weissach Package?
Recently secured a configurable 3RS PTS allocation with Weissach Package already confirmed available on the build. Trying to keep this thing to a somewhat reasonable MSRP so it will be either PTS or Weissach Package, not both. If PTS, will probably go Mexico Blue. If Weissach Package, would be Lizard Green. Leaning towards going with PTS Mexico Blue and no Weissach Package.

Hilarious that your trying to keep the build price reasonable on a $200k+ car. Nice to see PTS opening up. Once again confirms they are making a million of these. Since PTS in $13k, WP is $18k, that’s already $31k over a simple plain color already. Gots to love Porsche options! I’m guilty though, picking up my WP in 2 days; congrats on getting a unicorn build slot. Just do both!

I wouldn't pick WP with PTS.
Can't see the point of paying to have custom paint and pay even more to remove half of it.
I had access to both and chose neither ... not because of pricing, but because I don't like how the WP looks on the 3RS and it adds basically nothing to performance, and after two PTS cars I'm done for a while with that process.
TLDR I voted PTS. (if u can get it)

Get neither and save your coin, they do little to significantly enhance car, may be get the magnesium wheels from bbs when they are available, that would make a difference ... enjoy!

Direct copy and paste from an email from PCNA:
"Paint to Sample has been postponed indefinitely for the 911 GT3 RS. Based on the current timeline for production approval, the earliest potential production month for PTS 911 GT3 RS orders would be March 2019. There is also a possibility that PTS will not be offered whatsoever for this model."
Copy and paste from Options Update and Availability on 7/20:
"Due to an extremely high take rate in combination with a persistent shortage on the supplier side, Weissach Package (808) for 911 GT3 RS has been put on order stop as of this morning (July 20, 2018). Any 911 GT3 RS orders that Weissach Package is added to today and moving forward will go to vehicle status V100 and the option will be removed. Orders that were created PRIOR to today and are not in V100 are fine. Note that if Weissach Package is removed from an order, it cannot be added back. At this time 911 GT3 and 911 GT2 RS are not affected by this order stop."
Would make sure your dealer has confirmed both have changed, I suspect neither has yet though my build has locked.

Good to know they stopped WP 7/20/18. My WP 3RS went V200 on June 27th and I was bummed about Mag wheels not being available until feb/mar production. Mine is slated for Dec production/February delivery.
