Default No more manual according to Mecum

I noticed an '18 GT3 sold for $214.5K in Monterey recently and in Mecum's description of the car, it mentioned...
"Last year for the 6-speed manual transmissions".
Could this be true?

HIGHLIGHTS

  • 260 miles
  • 4.0/500 HP 6-cylinder engine
  • Last year for the 6-speed manual transmissions
  • 339 ft/lbs of torque
  • Aluminum block and heads
  • Direct fuel injection
  • 0-60 MPH in 3.4 seconds
  • 6-speed manual transmission
  • Limited slip differential
  • Porsche ceramic composite brakes with Yellow calipers
  • Internally vented and drilled rotors
  • Chrono Package
  • Red 12 O'Clock steering wheel hashmark
  • 20 inch Silver forged alloy center-lock wheels
  • Michelin Pilot Sport tires
Here's the link to the auction page and if you have an account and login, it will show the price sold to be $214.5K (that's before the 10% buyer's premium)

If a 2019 GT3 Touring shows up w/ a stick then couldn't this person sue Mecum to get his money back based on this false representation?

Read the fine print at the bottom of the listing:

911R was the last manual. Salesman knows nothing. Oh wait.

When I watched the video, the auctioneer did mention the manual being the last year of production so is it the seller or the auctioneer's intend to mislead, intentionally or unintentionally? In the court of law, wouldn't the auctioneer being responsible for what he says as this greatly influences the fees they collect from both the buyer and seller? If I were the jury, I would tend to side with the buyer who in the heat and excitement of an auction, would bid more based on hearing the manual being in the last year of production.

They are trying to sell the car; they are going to insert a tagline to entice buyers. Don't believe everything you hear.

at these auctions if a buyer wants to challenge anything on the car or statements made, they only have something like 24 or 48 hours to do so. It is in the bidding agreement that they sign.
